Let’s start with our first method. You may use Phone Transfer, which is a paid application that you need to download and install on your computer. It’s just the easiest product for transferring text messages between two phones running the same or different operating systems. Before the conversion, you need to copy the text messages directly to your new Galaxy S5. Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes. On the left panel of iTunes, right click on your iPhone and click “Back Up”. Allow the backup process to complete and access the backup file by going to the directory “C://[Users]/[Username]/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/Mobile Sync” if using Windows or “~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/” if using Mac. You’ll see a file with random numbers. Copy the latest one and paste it on your Galaxy’s SD card.

2) Convert message database to XML file using iSMS2droid.
Install iSMS2droid, which is an app that you can download from the Google Play Store. Open the application and choose “select iPhone SMS database”. Locate the backup file you copied and choose which messages you wish to convert.

3) Restore messages to the Android phone.
You need to install another app for restoring your messages. It’s called SMS Backup & Restore, which you can also get from the Google Play Store. Launch the app and tap “restore”. Tap “Ok” when it shows the directory of your converted messages. Choose which messages you wish to restore and hit “OK”. Wait for the restore process to complete and you should have your messages on your Samsung Galaxy S5.
