I’ve been using an older version of VDC for a couple of years with no problems. Last month I installed the latest version (126.96.36.199) on a brand new computer with Windows 10 and now I can’t get it to detect any videos.
I tried pasting a youtube link into the Download page and it displays an exclamation mark saying it needs to detect it.
I then paste the link into the internal browser on the detect page and it still fails to download
I tried running the video in an external browser and using the automatic detector and still no luck.
I have disabled the virus checker and have no proxies. I tried downloading the program and installing it again. No luck
Found the problem. The location for saving the files was set to an external storage device and that device wasn’t connected. A simple error message such as “file path not found” would have saved hours of hassle.
I downloaded your newer version of the Video Download Capture and it worked fine for a while. Now it is not detecting ANY Youtube videos for download. I am using Windows 7 on this particular computer and it seems to be setup correctly. I tried all forms of downloading without success.
My situation is similar to danhoward68…I even checked to see if our solution was similar with no success…
