I’d like to batch download lessons from Lynda.com. When I enter a URL for one of the pages manually, the login box for the site comes up. I enter my credentials and then the box just pops up again without downloading the video saying I still need to log in.
In addition, the audio from the video that the URL links to starts playing and won’t stop until I quit the program.
The detector works fine when I click on to the site in my browser, but this will be a bit cumbersome when trying to download all the videos from a lesson plan.

Sorry for any trouble that it might bring, please login Lynda in your IE browser first and then run Video Download Capture, please try again and check whether it works. If it doesn’t work still, would you send your lynda account to us and we will check it (Don’t worry about your account, it will be safe), we will set to private.

I just want to be clear: Are you specifically recommending I use Internet Explorer, or that I log in via the browser that I'm using (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, etc.) first then try downloading via URL? If it's the latter, then that is what I've already tried.
Here are the steps I take to try this:
- Go to Lynda.com in my browser (in this case, Chrome)
- Log in to Lynda.com
- Right-click a link to one of the lessons from a playlist and copy the link
- Paste the link into Video Downloader
- The login window pops up again, but inside Video Downloader
- I try to log in through that window again
- The audio from the video starts playing somewhere
- The login window pops up again
- This time, I try to click "Already logged in"
- Repeat popup window

Hello, you are suggested to use IE browser to log in. If you want to download a paid video, you will be reminded with to log in before downloading (This window will shut down after 180 sec as default so as to ensure the other videos can be downloaded in sequence). After verifying and registering with your account, the video will be added to download list automatically.
You are required to login once and do not need to repeat it again and again.

I’m having the same problem.
In trial version – program worked fine
After i bought full version – repeat login popup windows and don’t download
IE11 (including firefox, chrome) , windows 8.1
wow, don't cache
it is wrong video from other course, wtf?

I recommend you watch lynda videos use IE or Google Chrome, once the video begins to play, the Video Download Capture will detect the video file and download it automatically. Please try it again, I think it will work well. BTW, you may check “Decrypt HTTPS traffic”, please refer to the post below:

I am having the same issue. i have tried with IE, Chrome and firefox. The popup window in downloader doesn’t seem to accept credentials and the download log shows error: Could not get video info.
I hope this issue is fixed soon.

same problem here!
I can’t download any lynda.com courses because credentials Window doen’t seem to be accepted when i try to use it inside video downloader.
I’ve tried to log in in IE, Chrome or Firefox before to open Video Downloader but it doesn’t help.
Pls. let us know something about it.

I am a registered user of Video Download and it has been working great for a while. But something changed – probably on lynda.com and now it doesn’t work. Like the others, I get a perpetual login prompt. I’ve tried login into IE, Chrome, and Firefox prior to connecting, but no help. I’ve tried decrypting http, but that doesn’t resolve anything either.
Powersoft needs to review their connectivity so we can use this application again. Being able to download my training from lynda.com is the sole reason I purchased this application.

I’ve having the same issue (and all downloads keep completely failing) for months and finally broke through today…
While the “Video detector” is running click on the welcome video, add the URL onto download capture and don’t hit “Add to download” go back and click on the welcome video again (you may have to do this a couple of times until the video detector gets it) as soon as the detector gets it wait few seconds then click on the next video then the next then the next (these times you don’t have to wait few seconds. The videos will start to download with dates on the prefix (annoying but better than failing)..

Hi, you can delete all your past Credentials i.e., all the files in the following Folders and SVR will delete all past Logins
C:\Users\your_windows_credentials\AppData\Roaming\Apowersoft\Streaming Video Recorder 6\CefCookie
C:\Users\your_windows_credentials\AppData\Roaming\Apowersoft\Streaming Video Recorder 6\CefCache\GPUCache
C:\Users\your_windows_credentials\AppData\Roaming\Apowersoft\Streaming Video Recorder 6\CefCache\Cache
