Cannot Start Online Screen RecorderViews : 27624 Replies : 65 Likes : 4 2017-08-13 09:45 #1
On one of my PCs, I downloaded APowerSoft launcher and install it. When I then press START RECORDING I am asked to download it again. This cycle repeats itself. Cannot start online recorder.
Thanks for any ideas.
Windows 10 latest version.

I am having a similar issue. When launching the on-line scree recorder, it gets stuck trying to launch.

Dear User, please kindly clear the cache of your browser and refresh the page. If you recorder is not the latest version, it will update itself after the refreshing. Then, please check the taks manger on your PC and end the process of this online recorder if it's still running in the background, and then launch the program. And for further issues, you can also contact email@example.com directly regarding the detailed problems. Thank you very much!

Hey there! I had the same issues but I think I’ve fixed it. For me, the problems started after installing desktop version, where after trying it out I’ve removed it with the program uninstaller, but for some reason app was automatically launching anyway with start of the PC. And when I was trying to work with online version, the launcher was starting the desktop version anyway :/ I’ve checked in CCleaner and it turned out the startup of desktop version is still a planned task (which is weird as it is because it was technically UNINSTALLED). So basically that’s how all the problems with online version mentioned in this thread have started for me.
Here’s what worked for me (mind it’s the specific process caused by the fact I’ve had issues from the desktop version, but maybe you can do only part of it and it will still work for you)
So first of all I’ve downloaded the desktop version once again, then uninstalled both this one and the online app using IObit uninstaller (this program removes the remaining files after deinstallation so it may be important here as the files show issues. I guess any program for deinstallation offering similar feature will do well).
Then I’ve used CCleaner to clean up the files (including cookies from the browser) and registry and then downloaded and installed launcher once again. After this process, the launcher worked perfectly, no bugs or errors shown, I’ve closed it and tried again and it worked perfectly.
I hope this will help someone ♥

Dear Users, for the “cannot the online launcher” or “keep downloading the online launcher” issue, please follow the steps below to solve the problem. Thank you!
– Please search “%appdata%” in My computer/My PC, then, delete the whole file of Apowersoft Online Launcher (It may under the file of Apowersoft)
– Then, clear the cache of your browser and refresh the page of online screen recorder, making sure that you have ended the process of the previous online launcher in the PC’s task manager.
– Click “Start recording”, download and install the Apowersoft online launcher again and launch the program. It should be fine by then.
– However, if the steps above doesn’t work, please follow step 1 & step 2 first, then, use the link below to download the online launcher directly.
Thank you for your support and understanding!

I am on a macbook pro. The online version has always worked great for me until all of a sudden I started having this same issue as described by many above. The launcher is launching in my task manager, and it is not being blocked. However, it just stays stuck on the same page, and I cannot get it to start recording. Since the online version was no longer working, I tried to install and launch the desktop version, and that is not working either. Please help!
Also this link is not mac friendly so no help there either: https://download.apowersoft.com/apowersoft-online-launcher.exe

It's probably something concerning the firewall. It happened to me on different PCs (all Windows) after updating either Windows or anti-virus.
Reinstalling of the launcher does not help. Tried it. It's not it.
I've also tried to change firewall settings, but to no effect (still, I'm not that handy with software, so may be I don't know how to do it).
If anyone is computer-savy enough to suggest what to do - please help.

For me the solution was : copy the folder of Apowersoft from users\Adminsitrator\AppData\Local to “my myuser”\AppData\Local.
Them create a shorcut in the deskto to de Apowersoft Launcher.
Manualy excute de Launcher before charge de web page

Hi, I am using a Macbook Air and have a similar problem. As a first time user I have downloaded the launcher but it can’t be opened. I would prefer an online version more than a desktop software as well. Please kindly help!

Same problem here. Worked perfectly on two computers last night and now it’s not working at all on either of them!
