I’m also having the same issue with my macbook. The online launcher just shuts down everytime i use it, after I press record. Any help would be appreciated

I have the same problem, Windows 10, I have tried all the solutions above and still get message to download when I click record.

I sent an email to the support team and doesn't look like there's a fix.
So I gave up and found another screen recorder, the free version is fully functional except for some advanced features that I didn't need. It's an application though, not web-based
Its by a company called Atomisystems and the package is called Active Presenter 8. It's actually very good, and can record webcams too, voice-overs, and allows layering of transitions into the video. I guess this is needed in an authoring solution. Very happy with it

Dear users, please refer to the solution below for failing to download or enable the launcher.
– First, search “%appdata%” in My computer/My PC, then, delete the whole file of Apowersoft Online Launcher (It may under the file of Apowersoft)
– Then, clear the cache of your browser and refresh the page of online screen recorder, making sure that you have ended the process of the previous online launcher in the PC’s task manager.
– Click “Start recording”, download and install the Apowersoft online launcher again and launch the program. It should be fine by then.
NOTE – For now the mac online screen recorder isn’t compatible with the latest catalina system, our technician is still working on it. Thank you for your understanding. And for other versions, please refer to the solution below:
Open “Finder”, select “Go”->”Go to Folder” and enter in “/Users”. After that, you can go to “Shared” -> “Apowersoft” to find the “Mac Online Launcher”. Then, you can uninstall it.

Please help. I attempted to launch Online Screen Recorder but I get the following error message: “update failed” The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.
It also gives me a button to “start old version” but it doesn’t do anything when I click on it.

Sorry to say this tool is broken.
Google Chrome is up to date
Version 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Cleared the Appdata\Local and Appdata\Roaming.
installed the tool again without Chrome even running,
When I press record the popup of opening the apowersoft tool opens but it doesn’t run on a Windows 10 version 2004 PC.

Tried everything above mentioned on a new Windows 10 version 2004, installed the Online Screen Recorder manually which installs fine in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apowersoft\Online Screen Recorder but nothing happens from Chrome or Firefox that I installed after Chrome was not working. Disabled Windows Defender did not help

Cannot Start Online Screen Recorder. Have executed all the above mentioned steps: uninstall launcher, clear cookies and cache, uninstall program and reinstall program and launcher. All to no avail. Program was operational about two weeks ago on my system.
