How to Adjust ApowerMirror Display Quality on Android/iOSViews : 75551 Replies : 21 Likes : 4 2018-07-06 04:31 #1
To adjust the display quality, please follow the guide below:
Please update your program to the latest version before checking the following things:
Open ApowerMirror Android app, slide to the right side, tap “Settings”. There you can change the “Mirroring resolution” and “Mirroring definition”. You can also choose different mirroring mode to adjust the display quality.
Open the ApowerMirror desktop program, go to “Display settings” > “AirPlay resolution” and then you can change the display quality.
When mirroring via WiFi, the display quality depends on your network in a large scale. If possible, it is recommended to connect to 5G network, instead of 2.4G. Or else, it is possible that the mirrored screen becomes blurry or laggy when watching videos or playing games.

Good day, Ada,
So, the mirroring mode affects the quality but what does one, two, and three equal in terms of quality?

Thanks so much for this wonderful information. Very helpful indeed!

trying to download Apowermirror on my tablet it says it isn’t compatible. is there anyway to fix this? just got the yearly service.
Ada Reed :
Thank you for your support! However, we haven't submitted ApowerMirror to the tablet's Google Play, so it will show that it is not compatible. But you can still use ApowerMirror on your tablet. Please turn on USB debugging on your tablet, and connect it to ApowerMirror desktop program via USB cable. Then the ApowerMirror app will be downloaded on your tablet automatically. Thank you very much!

I’ve got a question…here’s the hypothetical setup:
Device -> 2560 pixel height display (Samsung Galaxy S7 2560×1440)
Host PC-> Standard 1080p widescreen monitor.
Apowermirror Resolution on phone set to 540p
It seems to me “540p” is standard HD halved, so 1080/2 = 540. Squared for x,y its one-quarter the pixels. All the math should integer-out with no floats for the host, pixel-to-pixel div-perfect.
In Landscape mode, I see things work that way with the host display. However the host display is 1080 pixels tall because it is “permanently” in widescreen mode HD (1920 wide by 1080 high).
Since host monitor is only 1080 pixels “tall” though, 2560/2 = 1280 and 1280 does not fit in a display 1080p tall (especially with the device hardware graphic surrounding the screen). This leads to aliasing, and it changes display output depending on source device, host PC settings, etc. Even when looking at same app on different phones.
Now if there was one more option on Apowermirror’s Android resolution – say half of 540 (270), that would work great; display not as big per se but never any aliasing.
1080/270 = 4 and 2560/4 = 640 and on a 1080p widescreen host that equals crisp pixel-to-(quarter-sized)-pixel output with no aliasing. Plenty of room even with the Android hardware-skin-graphic.
Given the CPU workload, I/O, etc. would all be lower anyways, would it be possible to get “270p” option for the Android resolution selection? I would find that very handy if possible in an upcoming next release? Cheaper than new 4K monitor that way! 😉

i am having a problem with my mirroring the sound is not there as well as the image in netflix only subtitles and its all black. please help me to fix this.
Ada Reed :
Here's a guide to stream the sound: https://www.apowersoft.com/community/topic/how-to-stream-the-android-audio-to-pc.html .
Besides, due to the encryption policy of the platform, third-party apps cannot be directly mirrored

I would like to ask why my monitor POV of apower is quite stuttering. I’m using WiFi and my phone is Samsung A7
Sunny Alex :
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please attempt the adjustments below:
1. Head to the Render mode setting and choose D3DX opengl mode, and also reset the frame rate as 60.
2. If the effect remains unsatisfactory, please reconnect your devices using a USB cable.
3. Or you are suggested to lower the resolution rate on the mobile application.
Thank you very much!

My name is Robert D. and I run a site that I stream games on as part of the viewing dialogue, and I play PubG mobile, and hence it is a mobile game, I use the Galaxy S10+. My question is , I am connected to comcasts gigabit with 5G connecting via ethernet, is there any limitations that you know of with this model cell-phone with your software? Also, while I am here, what would you think would be the preferred Settings for the best graphics and F/R?
Thank you in advance for your time in this matter , and thank you for a great product!

Good day Ada,
Im using iphone xs max and when im playing mobile legends in apowermirror the apoiwermirror is laggy but the game isnt. How can solve my problem?
Sunny Alex :
Sorry for the problem. It is probably related with your network, please check the following things:
Make sure your router is nearby and there is no obstacles between your router and your computer so that the signal is strong.
Please set your router to 5G network instead of 2.4G, which can improve the transmission.
If you don't have a stable WiFi, please go to Settings of the program and change the display quality.
