Hello users! I just downloaded Apowersoft Streaming Audio Recorder (SAR) and I am using it to record FLAC files in hi-def from TIDAL streaming service. After using another recording software, I am noticing that Apowersoft’s SAR FLAC media files are smaller and at a lower bitrate than my prior software. Does Apowersoft’s SAR program compress FLAC files and they are lossy files or are they truly lossless FLAC files? If they are truly lossless why is there a difference in file sizes and bitrates for the same recorded files?
