    Crashing!!!!!!

    The capture program keeps CRASHING! This has just started a few days ago. The program used to work great with no issues but now almost every single time I do a recording as soon as I stop the recording the program freezes and then crashes. It is SOOOOOOO frustrating to record the same video over and over and it keeps crashing. Especially considering I am using the paid program. Is anyone else having this issue?

    Are you running Windows? I never met this problem. I think you should communicate with Apowersoft. Submitting a ticket is a good way. You can contact them directly via https://www.apowersoft.com/support/submit-ticket/

    Hi there, I have experienced the same issue with the message “Video Download Capture 6 has stopped working”


    I have somehow managed to get it to work, although I am not sure if i can replicate this every time.
    1. I pasted the link of the video into the browser inside the program ( “Detect” tab) , and opened the page I wish to download from.
    2. Then clicked ‘enable detector’ feature in bottom left corner, which detected and downloaded a unrelated .flv file from the website (480 kilobyte size file).
    3. Then after finished downloading (check the “Download” tab), I clicked “disable detector” feature, bottom left corner.
    4. Then in “Download” tab, paste link, and started download.
    The files were then successfully downloaded.
    My guess with the original issue, is that there is some issue where the downloads stop working, 
    and you need to trick the program into downloading something automatically (using “enable detector” in “Detect tab”.)
    Then the program resumes its ability to download.
    I have successfully continued to download files this way, but i am unsure this is a permanent fix.
    I closed the program and opened it again, it continues to download up until now.
    If it happens again I suggest repeating the process above.

    hey there.  I just logged into my download capture and it keeps crashing before it comes up.   any suggestions. I’m running it on Mac 10.14.3.   all comments appreciated.  thanks

    it keeps crashing on my mac too. this just happened recently. Please fix it and update software as soon as possible.

        I think the crash is caused by the latest ios.14.3. After I updated my system yesterday, the ApowerRec cannot be opened anymore.

    yes, please fix it. does not compatible with macos 10.14.3

        I'm running 10.14.2 and it will not open - just opens error report. 


        It was working great 2 or 3 days ago.

      I noticed a fix was made for Mac users, but I am having the same issue with Windows. Is there a update to solve my issue of constant app crashes in Windows?

    Hello (June 2020),


    I am also having the same issue. I updated my Windows 10 Home 2018 version w/ (32gb w/ 31.7 usable memory, 64bit OS) software and my APowerREC went from working, to crashing (without any errors) as soon as I hit REC. No video is captured, and it takes about 3 seconds for the program to close on its own :/

        Dear user, could you please tell us which version of the program you are currently using?

        Meanwhile, you can also go to our official product page to download the latest version. Please make sure not to using two similar software such as two softwares both requiring the screen or audio capturing at the same time.

        And if you are already using the latest version, but the crashing issue still exists, please manually submit your log file to support@apowersoft.com so that our technician can check it for you. 

        To submit the log file:

        - Open "My Computer/My PC", then enter "%appdata%\Apowersoft\ApowerREC" at the top searching bar and hit "Enter" to search it.

        - After that, you can find apowersoft or apowerrec file, then enter that file to copy the whole "log" folder and send it to us.
