I’ve been unable to download video from Hulu.com. I’ve tried clearing the cookies, re-installing Video Download Capture, etc. The video plays in the built-in video browser, but will not download. Is anybody else having this problem? Did Hulu change something, or does there need to be an update made to Video Download Capture?
I just looked at the download log from the video I was trying to download. Here are some of the error messages:
4/2/2014 2:16:48 PM: error: handlectrl: swfverification type 2 request not supported, attempting to use swfverification type 1! patches welcome… 4/2/2014 2:16:48 PM: error: rtmp server sent error 4/2/2014 2:16:48 PM: error: rtmp server requested close 4/2/2014 2:16:48 PM: ExitCode=> 1
Plus, Video Download Capture switches my internet LAN connection to a proxy server. Is this supposed to happen? I always have to unclick that box in my internet settings to continue using the internet after I close Video Download Capture.
Hulu might have changed some kind of security measure or whatever. I am just finding some of Hulu videos can be grabbed while other part of them cannot be downloaded due to copyright issues. Recently, our technician will try to evolve our technology to update Video Download Capture to support downloading Hulu protected videos. If you wish to download Hulu videos right now, it is suggested to use “Record Screen” function, you are able to choose recording area as you prefer. Better still, you can record video with audio simultaneously.
Regarding the proxy sever question, I want to make sure whether you are using the version Windows 8.1?
