Oh what the hell, Total Recorder fails to record the radio being played on my computer. So, I am looking for a program similar to Total Recorder, does anyone know?

Total Recorder does exactly recording and editing audio. With it, you can directly record sound being played on the Internet, media player or other external devices. It supports a wide variety of sound formats: WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC and APE.
Truth to be told, Total Recorder is pretty useful for audio recording and editing. But the fact remains that Total Recorder does not support to identify audio track information automatically, so you have to tag the tracks one by one manually. Moreover, there may come a time that this audio recorder not working. In this case, you will be glad to know that there are other programs like Total Recorder.
Streaming Audio Recorder
Streaming Audio Recorder is a fairly good audio recording program that is designed to meet your needs of usability and entertainment at the same time. To be specifically, apart from the basic audio recording function just as its name suggests, it’s also available to edit audio tracks, convert between different audio formats, burn audio files to CD etc.
Compared to Total Recorder, which only serves as audio recorder and editor, this Total Recorder alternative also enables you to listen to the latest popular songs and music albums, as well as various genres of online radio.
Station Ripper supports to rip audio streams from thousands of Internet radio stations or broadcasts including Pandora, Shoutcast, Spotify, Slacker and many others. With a registered version of Station Ripper, the amount of recorded songs can reach 4000 to 6000 within 24 hours. More conveniently, unlike other audio recorders that only provide to record radio one by one, Station Ripper allows you to record up to 600 radio stations at once.
However, the only hassle with this Total Recorder alternative is that it does not support to record audio from local media files and microphone.

Any Substitute for Total Recorder on Mac? Since Total Recorder only supports for audio recording on Window operating system. I have used Soundflower, but it seems way too complicated.

Thanks for sharing above feature-rich audio recorders, but I am wondering if there is any free sound recorder that enables me to record my voice online, cause I don’t wanna install programs to my computer. Any suggestions?
For those who want to spare the trouble of installation, Apowersoft Free Online Audi o Recorder would be the best option. Similar to Total Recorder, it gives you the ability to record audio from computer system and microphone in 1:1 quality. It can equally identify the music track information while recording.
Additionally, it offers user-friendly interface which makes recording fairly simple. Just open the webpage of this online audio recorder and then click "Start Recording". After that, a java applet will pop up, hit the "Run" button to give permission to launch the recorder. Next, you can change the settings in your preferable way. Once these settings are done, you can click the "Start" button to begin recording. Whenever you want to finish the recording, just hit the "Stop" button.
Or you can refer to this post for more information on how to use this online audio recorder.
